Medi Scanner

MediScanner word is derived from “Medi” + “Scanner” whereas, Medi refers to Medicine & Scanner refers to a platform which optically "reads" an image & converts it to a digital form. It is an *Open Source* project.

As we all know, that many people were suffering from various health conditions during this pandemic era, but our young generation and few educated people can get real information related to any medicine just by searching through internet.

But the real problem comes in front of those people who are illiterate or belong to rural areas, that is why, they do not even know how to get any information related to medicine.

Our main goal is to provide the simplest and easiest platform where any person is educated or not. Basically, our project simply captures an image and then automatically extracts words from the image using the technology of optical character recognition / image recognition. Then, the relevant information related to any drug displays immediately. But the translation feature allows them to read information in their own language and finally, the text to speech feature allows them to hear and recognize in their own language when they are unable to read.

this platform going to be beneficial for all age groups.
